Who am I ?

I am Helen, a thirty-something mother of two boys and I am discovering the world ten thousand steps at a time! Having kids sometimes makes it difficult to keep active and explore but I hope that my blog helps demonstrate that it is possible and fun. I would love it if I inspire you to discover your world in ten thousand steps.

Why ten thousand steps?

Ten thousand steps is a goal promoted by many health organisations and wearable fitness devices as a manageable daily target. It equates to roughly five miles and as such is a great way to explore your local area and beyond. You don’t have to climb mountains! Every step counts. Be amazed at how much you can see in 10,000 steps and just how easy it is to incorporate into your life.

Where am I?

Originally hailing from Scotland in the UK, I now live two hours north of Sydney in NSW, Australia. I live in the Hunter Region, home to famous vineyards and fabulous beaches. An amazing place to explore in ten thousand steps. I also love to travel and I plan on sharing all my experiences, both local and further afield. Come discover with me!
